DFW's Trusted Family Owned HVAC Experts Since 1971

Is it Time to Replace Your AC?

Nobody gets excited about buying a new air conditioner. There’s no showroom experience, no test drive. It’s a metal box that sits outside your house, and the best compliment anyone can give it is not thinking about it for the next fifteen years.

That said, when your old unit finally taps out, you’ve got an opportunity in front of you. The efficiency gains in modern equipment are real – we’re talking 30 to 50 percent less electricity to cool the same space. In a Texas summer, that shows up on your bill pretty fast.

You may need a new system if:

  • Your AC is 10–15+ years old
  • Repairs keep adding up
  • Your home struggles to stay cool
  • Energy bills keep climbing
  • Your system uses outdated refrigerant

FAQ

How do I know what size A/C I need?

Throw out the “one ton per 500 square feet” rule you found on Google. Real sizing requires a Manual J load calculation – we look at your insulation, windows, which way your house faces, ceiling heights, even how many people live there. It takes longer than eyeballing it, but it’s the difference between a system that works and one that kind of works.

Figure 15-20 years with regular maintenance. We’ve got units out there from the early 2000s still doing fine. That said, “still running” and “running efficiently” aren’t the same thing. After 12-15 years, the energy savings from new equipment often justify replacement even if the old one hasn’t completely died yet.

Lennox, Carrier, Goodman, Trane, Amana, Rheem and Daiken. We’re certified distributors and our technicians are factory-trained on all of them. We’ve been installing these brands for decades because they’ve earned it through actual field performance, not just marketing.

NATE is North American Technician Excellence – the industry’s most rigorous certification for HVAC technicians. It means our guys have passed serious exams on installation and service, not just watched a few videos and showed up with a toolbox.

Yes. A new system is a real investment and we don’t expect everyone to write a check on the spot. We offer several financing options with competitive rates – ask us what’s available when we come out for an estimate.
